Red clutch spring

Hi, I have a 1998 Max iv with a 18 hp Vanguard. I would like to upgrade to a red clutch spring. I would like to know the best place to buy one. Thank you!

I've been getting them from Roy at Quqlity Drive Systems # is 1-626-293-5770. I'm not sure if they are available from factory parts now or not. Contact max6x6.com and ask I don't have a part number handy I'm sure someone has the comet number.

Just asking for my interest. What will putting this in the drive help or change ?

Slows down the up shift until vehicle has more speed or less load. Makes it act like lower gear ratio. I think it makes quite a difference in low speed performance. Top end is close to the same

OK so it keeps the varieator from opening fast. So I take it that's it's a Stiffer spring .
