hey guy's , don kenyon and i installed new bands saturday in the tranny. just took a test spin. i have always had the springs on and like them. don adjusted the tranny before i installed it. now going forward i have to push the sticks to get up a hill. also in a turn, before i just pulled the corresponding lever to turn. now i have to pull the stick back and push the opposite one forward. wondering if both band bolts need tightening on each side, top and bottom or just top or bottom , etc. reverse works fine. thanks for info. johnboy va.

Tighten the springs first and see what happens, however, tracks need more force. Things may need to wear in a little, if still acting up after an hour or so adjust bands a tad.sigpic
My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
Joe Camel never does that.
Advice is free, it's the application that costs.

thanks jim, i read the t 20 adjustment procedure last night in the forum .. how to adjust without the spacer tool. i had a set , but never had any luck with them. the main info i got was that when channel is pulling plunger out, the re should be about a 5/16 '' distance between channel and trans body. also if the band were adjusted too tight, what would that feel like and operate like ? thanks again johnboy va.

Can you turn the t-20 output sprocket by hand with transmission engaged in forward with stick in a neutral position meaning not braking or pushing sticks forward. Is it dragging if not run it a few hours. I put mine back together and had a little neutral spot with transmission engaged in drive compared before putting new bands on. Plus if don helped you I think it would be perfect for running.
