  • T20 Mod Help

    Hi Guys
I recently overhauled my Max and did a mod on the T20. and after 3 hrs I have found an issue. I am using 4 bearing rod ends and 1/4 inch flat bar to replace the U channel and bolts. When I drilled the flat bar for a pivot point I get a lot of binding between the travel. In center position all is good.

I see that the original U channel bolt holes are elongated to allow some play but using bearing rod ends there is no play.

it would appear that using bearing rod ends and a pivot point would be simple. not sure what I did wrong.

I had the pivot point on the T20 area machined to 4 1/2 degrees.

can someone help me with some specific explanation and maybe pics on how they did there's and then I will be able to figure out what is up with mine.

    Hopefully I explained myself.

    Thanks for any help

Looks like there is a ton of movement there in the hiems.

My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
    Joe Camel never does that.

Advice is free, it's the application that costs.

Eyebolts were my thoughts, had also thought shoulder bolt but lock nut will let it float.

Things I did wrong on my Mod. hopefully someone will learn by my mistake
            1. I drilled the T20 case first and then tried to drill my 1/4 stock to match. Drill 1/4 stock or channel and case at same time to insure all is in line.
            2. elongate the plunger attach hole to aprox .625 inch. I did not elongate my holes and binding happened from neutral forward and neutral rearward.

Follow the simple instruction that other people have done, which I didn't and you wont have the issue I had.
