I have had the max out twice now and have had the snap ring on the output shaft on right side of T20 come off, now when I sent for the rebuild kit it came with snap ring instead of the retaining ring like what was in it, should I try and find a retaining ring like was in it originally or try the snap ring again? I have purchased new snap rings both times so I don't think its a weak snap ring. What do you think?

Check the groove and make sure there is no foreign material preventing the snap ring from fully seating. It's not normal for it to just pop out, also check to be sure the groove itself is not damaged and the snap ring is installed with the sharp edge in (I think).DESTRUCTION is just a couple of vowels down the street from DISTRACTION

My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
Joe Camel never does that.

well it turned out to be the new bearing, the old bearing had been machined with beveled or rounded edges on the inner race. the new bearing had not thus it would not allow the snap ring to insert all the way. I had got the rebuild kit from max 6x6 and the bearings from buffalo bearing. now I will put the original bearing back in cause it wasn't bad to start with i was just putting new ones in while I had it tore down. I will order some of those $20.00 seals today and put back together. Thanks for the replies.
