T20 plunger question

I recently got a new to me Big Max project. I noticed three of the plungers come out about even with the case. The fourth plunger (bottom passenger side) comes out of the case and extends maybe 1/4 of an inch. Is this an adjustment issue or something else? I haven't driven the beast yet as I am in the process of replacing the engine with a rotax 503 engine.
If I need to remove the tranny now would be a great time as it's apart already. Thanks for any help in advance.

It's hard to tell with an older, used machine. It isn't necessarily an issue. The other three bands could have been replaced, there could be some wear on that band more than the others, there could be an adjustment needed or there could be a more serious problem. Since you have it apart, I would be tempted to open the T20 just to check but it may not be necessary. Maybe start by adjusting them first. That could answer your question.
