Anyone ever used a Hilliard clutch? I see where I can get one that would fit my Hustler for ~$80. I've only got a little 12hp Tecumseh in it for the time being, so don't want to speed a lot on a clutch until I can upgrade the engine.

For the crank shaft? A Hillard clutch has no variable speed to it, it simply engages under torque and free wheels when wheel speed exceeds input speed. they are usually used in differentials or hubs, Polaris uses them extensivly for their AWD systems. Older bikes had 2 of them mounted in each front hub, later they moved them into the front differential. I have seen Hillards with small V-belt pulleys or a sprocket welded on for use on gocarts and such, but I'm not sure how a Hillard would apply to a Hustler.
Anyway, lots of Polaris' out there in bone yards, perhaps you can retrofit one for your application.
