How much movement is acceptable for a ring gear drum in the case bushing? I have new case bushings but I will have to have a machine shop install them..$$$. I have about a 1/16" play in one case.... almost none in the other case. Help would be much appreciated! Thank you in advance!!!!!!

As much as I, and I assume many others, would like to see a set of blueprints for a T-20, I never have. What I do know is industry standard for a rotating part in a plain bearing (bushing) is aprox. .001" per side per inch of diameter (up to about 6"). So, from what I remember that boss on the ring drum is about 2 to 2-1/2" dia. which says the bushing I.D. should be .004 to .005" larger than the boss on the drum. 1/16" is about .062". That's a lot for an assembly of this nature.sigpic
