  • T20-51 brake band anchor rod lenght

Here's my problem. I had lost right brake and right reverse way back in the woods. Limped it home making only left turns. I thought some band adjustment was needed but noticed the right upper plunger was all the way out. Thought i had a broken band. After splitting my A-7932 T-20 I noticed right away that the anchor pin was only entered into the center ring by .010 and had chipped out allowing the pin to ob shape the casting witch lead to the pin leaning and no pressure on the inner band. My pin is 4.325 long is that the correct length? I'm measuring that i need them to be .125+ longer. I don't believe this tranny out of my Max IV #8168 was ever spilt open before. Could this had been a factory defect? any help on this ASAP would be greatly appreciated. I need this machine running for work. I have .375 drill rod ready to cut. Thanks John

I measured several and found the longest to be 4.330" the case may be drilled to deep. Make new pin that will pass 1/2 way through the center plate with plate seated on a gasket.

Thanks for checking. I did not think about the hole being drilled to deep. I'm glad the caseing did't bust out. Thanks again John
