  • T-20 pulley side turns hard!!

Ok fellas I talked my buddy into buying an old max 340T and he's telling me that when machine in neutral on the lift the clutch side turns real hard when turning the sprocket and the other side spins freely??? we're 35 miles apart so I'm askin the experts on here what may cause this!! It came with an extra t-20 complete and 1 in pieces so if we can troubleshoot this from any knowledge on here would be great
    Thanks in advance

My first guess would be bearing's or tight chains on one side. I would pull
The main chains (t20 to jackshaft) and turn the output sprockets by hand. Should be smooth in neutral. A bad output bearing on one side will be very noticeable.

Ok Thanks for your reply! I've never ran into this issue before so I figured at least one of you guys have.
I will relay the message to him.I also told him to join this forum and study up!!
      Thanks again

Check that the diamonds are parallel (as if one may be partially engaged), are the chains still attached if so I'd check the adjustment of the idler shaft for evenness. Very easy to get an idler shaft out of whack if you don't know any better whick would cause chain bind like Marc wrote.

My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
        Joe Camel never does that.

Advice is free, it's the application that costs.
