T-20 differences

i have a 1996 Max IV and believe the trans may need a rebuild. In searching for parts, I've located a parts Hustler. How much of a difference is there between the two T-20s?

I'm no expert but there are some differences over the years. Some differences are...
Thrust washers versus no thrust washers.
9 versus 18 teeth on the shift collars.
Location of brake disc.
Position of output sprocket-some output shafts were wider.
Some had input shafts with or without a support bearing.....i think.

I guess the real question is what is going wrong with yours?

On another note, what model is the parts hustler? I want a 980 so if it happens to be perhaps we can strike a deal. I don't need a transmission.

don't believe it's a 980. it's a 3 hour drive, but the wifey seems OK with the purchase.
