I am trying to match up parts from 2 old machines. The engine has a clutch, but it used to go to a t-20 in a Max. The machine I am trying to fix has a 6000, forward only type. The belt on the Attex "6000" is just under 1 inch wide. The belt on the engine is just under 1 1/4 inch wide. I assume they will not work together? Is there a special narrow clutch for the 6000 type tranny? I dug out another old very small engine and its clutch is even smaller, under 7/8 width on the inside. Can someone please clarify any of this? Thanks in advance!

Hello
My attex 225 has a rupp snowmobile engine on it that uses a wider belt then the trans. driven pulley uses. You just have to run the smaller belt to make it work. The motor just revvs more before taking off. Kinda like a stall converter, lol. It is probably not Ideal but it would work. What motor do you have?
