  • Argo will not pull on left side.

    Hi everyone,

This is my first post to your community. I have just gotten into the world of AATV. I purchased a 1984 argo which does not seem to pull well on the left side. When I engage the brake on the right side it seems to pull fine. But when going straight (while stuck in the muck) the tire on the left will not spin. Any suggestions as to what the problem could be?

    Thanks

Hi Newf- It takes a while to get better at getting all wheels to drive on an Argo. I learn slow. When I first got my Avenger I didn,t do too well getting out of the water on a muddy bank. There is a movie on you tube Big Birds Argo. The differential sends Equal torque to both axles all the time. In your example, the tires on the left had more traction in the mud so the wheels on the right spin. If you apply enough brakes to the right wheels the left wheels will spin. A little back and forth and you will be not stuck. Happy Riding and hope you get a moose!

      Got me moose.

      Hi Philip,

Thanks for the information. I was thinking I had some transmission problem. My father and I were hunting this morning and he was successful. A 2 point bull. Not very big.
