  • Attex pucks

Well I am due for some pucks Smiley/ST400R, are these OK ?
Welcome to Richard's Relics Parts for ATV's

They sure don't look like mine as mine are friction material bonded to a metal backing, maybe they were some performance part back in the day. There is a pic of one in my gallery, I don't know how to link to here.

    Merry Christmas all you 6x6rs

I've seen that style before, but not very often, Andy. I'm not sure if that was aftermarket or some came from the factory. Personally, I like the ones from RR better than any others I've found. You can make your own with a hole saw, but I've never found material available that compares to Richard's.

What do these pucks do? I know a thing or two about composites. Might know a good material you could make your own from.

          What do these pucks do?

          Brake Pads, in essence.

Yes, disc brake pads. I've tried various brake and clutch lining materials, but most haven't been so good: either they wear very quickly or are so hard the don't have enough friction to grab the disc. If there is something that will work and isn't super expensive, that would.be great. Richard's are semi-metalic and.look like there is brass embedded in the pad material.
