  • HDI Admiral Transmission

    looking for ideas
I have a 2010 Argo HDI with admiral transmission. It recently started jumping out of gear while operating in forward. If I remove the rubber boot from the firewall that fits over the shifter it does not disengage but with the boot on it slides out gear. As well I've got to move the shifter around while in neutral to get the starter to engage. Just wondering if anyone has had this happen and what the fix is.

Sounds like the detent ball may be stuck inward or shifter assy. has moved outward.

My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
    Joe Camel never does that.

Advice is free, it's the application that costs.

      Thanks Jim,
It does sound like that is the issue. Once I got to page 39 in the transmission section I read something on the ball and spring....hopefully that's the issue.
      tks again
