Band clevices tight after o-ring replacement?

Hi All,

Just re-assembling stuff and noticed the band clevices are very tight after replacing the orings... Is this normal, or is it possible that the o-rings are too large?

They certainly don't seem to want to retract by themselves any more, so I'm thinking that the replacement orings in the kit may be too thick?

They loosen up a little with movement, but seem way too tight and I don't want to continue assembly now and have to pull it apart later if I'm wrong.

Thoughts? help suggestions?

I guess its possible they are too large, but I have the same thing right now with a transmission. Fresh rebuild with new orings and the plungers are pretty tight. I think they will be fine, though.

As far as them retracting by themselves, don't worry if they don't. Your U channels have a heavy pin that clips across in front of the adjustment bolt. This pin makes sure the plunger is pushed back to a relaxed position when necessary.

Thanks Dirtdobber, I went ahead and assembled it anyway and it loosened up a little, but still won't retract without force. I'll see how it goes.
