  • Damaged plunger sleeves

Was wondering if anyone has replaced the plunger sleeves on a T-20?
Mine were leaking pretty bad, and after disassembly have found deep grooves in some from what looks like the roll pins not properly installed.
I don't think new o-rings gonna stop the leaks.
    Anybody?

I believe Recreative has replacement sleeves but you will need to have the case bored out by a machine shop to the correct size for the sleeve to press in. I did one years ago.

      Mark,
I talked to RI and they have them for $4.90ea P/N T20-44
Dan said they were epoxied in:/ He also said newer ones don't use the sleeve, just machined the cases. I am gonna get ahold of Richard, see what he says.

Seems as I was lucky, this time. Since my T20 was old enough, it had original aluminum sleeves in the cases, rather than the newer ones that are machined out of a better material.(less porous according to RI) RI told me they were epoxied in back in the day, so as I pondered the situation, and pounded some beer, I found the clutch end of the input shaft was an exact removal tool, SWEET. Just a few taps on them and they drove right out. I also lucked out that RI still had some for $10ea. Ordered on Wednesday, received on Friday, epoxied new sleeves in Saturday morning, and riding that afternoon. No leaks yet. Oh ya, complete kit is now $51. I have seen alot of low estimates here lately.
