I pulled the plug on my tranny in my ST300 and it kinda looks like a milk shake...LOL so much for maintanance...I'm going to pull the trans to put on the new belt, should I clean out the trans with kerosine or engine sludge cleaner or put it back on and just change the oil a couple of times to clean it out? Plus I wanted to ask if there is anything specific I need to do to remove and install the trans? It looks pretty straight forward...I just don't like suprizes!

The worse part about it is reinstalling. Those pucks get in the way. You will need a screw driver or such object to help hold them outta the way of the rotors. I'm not sure what your plan is but it helps to just take the whole trans frame out, Only 4 more bolts.... Maybe starter solenoid wire or such(seen some mounted to trans frame, others not) But like you said staight forward.
As the oil goes, I dont see how kerosen would ruin anything but.... Safest bet is to just change it. Run it while and check it out....Never know about how those seals would react.

If your taking the trans out, you might as well change the seals while you have it out. Water/moisture got in there somehow, and if your breathers aren't clogged, pretty safe bet it's the seals. I'd also just go with changing the fluid and running/checking and rechanging if need-be.It's all just nuts and bolts.
