  • T20 Fluid Level

I am new still to my max II, and I love it. I took off the bolt on my t-20 transmission and my question is how do you tell if the fluid is low or full? What kind of fluid do you use? I have 2 kinds that I use for my Brute Force atv, One is for a wet brake and the other is a limited slip with hypoid additive. Can I use one of these? Thanks for the help

There are two plugs. The bottom one is the one you use to check the level. It shouldn't be above that plug. The top plug is used to add the fluid.

You need one quart of ATF type F. Most people including the factory use a limited slip additive in the fluid as well. If you use that, add 4oz of it and subtract 4 oz from the quart of ATF. So that would be 4 oz of additive and 28 oz of ATF type F.

Thank you Mike. The drain plug looks a little hard to get to.

It's definitely not the easiest to get to. You really have to get to it by feel.
