hello guys got my new engine for my new 400st.the problem is that i had to make everything for this engine to fit,took out the rockwell 400 and replaced it with an 18hp brigs twin,my question is the clutch i used was from my scrambler 8hp,how can i mod to make it strong for the 18hp,thanks you guys do help alot

Is the diameter of the shaft for the clutches 1"? If so it should work just fine. Also take a look at how wide the belt is on both machines so it fits in the driven pulley on the T-20 transmission in the Attex."Looks like you have a problem with your 4 wheeler........you're missin' two wheels there"

What brand of clutch is it? Typically, an 8HP clutch in the 4-stroke AATV application will hold up to 18HP just fine. Your operating RPM probably hasn't changed that much. To reassure yourself, make sure the clutch is in good shape by looking at the wear faces and inspecting for any cracks, or take the cover off and inspect the rollers and arms (Salsbury), or the pucks (Comet Duster) to make sure nothing seems out of the ordinary.
If you can figure out what clutch you have, someone here may be able to let you know the best way of inspecting and maintaining it.
