t-20 transmission and others
Was thinking of another 6 wheeler had some questions about tranny in differrent machines . First about split shifters ,t-20 if you put a split shifter on can you keep one side in reverse and one side in forward to do donuts and does it hurt the tranny. Was also thinking about a trail boss /was watching video and it did not see the guy shift into reverse it looked like he just pulled the sticks back to reverse it i know the trail boss has 2 sides to the tranny or 2 transmissions. Wich vehicle can be split shifted to do these crazy donuts. Any ideas about values of a trail boss and what to lok for to stay away from and how readily available is the parts for trail boss trannsmission. I would appreciate any input thank you JEFF

Trail Boss AATVs are pretty inexpensive. You don't have to shift them, just pull the lever all the way back and it goes into reverse. A lot of folks don't like this because when you're moving fast and jam the stick back and it goes into reverse, you can easily break axle pins. The T-20 can drive in forward on one side and reverse on the other without any trouble or harm. The T-20 is actually 2 separate transmissions in one. In my opinion it is the best AATV transmission ever built. The Swamp Fox and Hustler came with factory split shifters. And the Max II can be converted to a split shifter quite easily."Looks like you have a problem with your 4 wheeler........you're missin' two wheels there"
