  • Sort of stumped by clutch !

I think this clutch is a Power Block 100_0771.jpg

    100_0773.jpg

100_0774.jpgon a M18 Kohler. How do I remove it from crank shaft ? If it is screwed on, is it right or left hand thread ? Or maybe I need a puller. Thanks Tim

Haha have alot of people ask me this question, its very easy Tim, it just unthreads like a bolt, catch is you have to stop the engine from turning, i just put something in the flywheel, once you crack it free its very easy

Just be careful not to put something in the flywheel fins to keep the crank still. You can cause cracks that you can't see, then the fins fly off at the most unexpected times. I've seen it before, and it can be spiritual to say the least.

Best bet is to use a strap wrench. If you don't have one, an old leather belt and a pair of vice grips will do the trick.
