  • The backing does not join.

Hello, I from Russia. Help to understand the impossibility reason to include a backing. Whether it (look a picture) can to be at the bottom? Thanks.

    Hello Hant,

Are you worried about the flat spot on the pin? Everything else looks good, and you can replace the pin if you need to. It is held in with friction. Nothing is missing from the picture. That is the whole shifter.

Tell us if we missed something!

      Hi Hant
You are saying you have no Reverse, (backing up?) Correct?
The Flat spot on the Pin LOOKS to be where it pushes the transmission into reverse, and I agree with HydroMike, Pull the Pin out and Replace it, and You should be good.

Mike and 6x6. I had the same problem with one of my T20's. Tried every machinist trick in the book to get that pin out to no avail. I first tried to pull it out by various means but that didn't work.

Next I was going to anneal the pin with heat then drill it out but couldn't because they are made out of high speed steel which does not anneal very easy once they are hardened. I ended up just buying new ones. Perhaps others like yourselves had better luck than I did.

Hant, give it a go and try to get it out.

Maybe grind it off and relocate 180 degees. Do it to both right and left side and swap sides!

If you need T-20 transmission parts you can call Recreatives Industries Amphibious Six-Wheel Drive All-Terrain Vehicles: MaxATVs - Call 1-800-255-2511 or you can put a message on the "wanted" section here on 6X6World.
