  • driven clutch shaft size

    Hi guys,

On my skipper rebuild, I have found the driven clutch to be 1 3/16 inch shaft size. Comet doesn't make a driven clutch w/ this size that I can find. Is this an oddball size, or is it typical on other machines as well?

        brakes

was wanting some input. Wondering if the mechanical disc brakes would work as well as the hydraulic brakes. Anyone know? The mechanicals are about 1/3 the price...

the only difference is the hydraulic brakes use hydraulic pressure to work the calipers, where the mechanical uses simple leverage with cables. This machine had cable activated band type brakes. I have tried to post some pics on here before, but have not had any luck

mechanical disc brakes would work if they were sized properly. The band brakes are self energizing and take less effort to engage.

The t-20 uses a 7/8" clutch bore. Most snowmobiles use a 1" clutch bore.
