I am going crazy trying to figure this out! Is there a cross over guide out there that tells what drive clutches will swap out? I think I will be using a honda clone engine but cant figure out what clutches to look for. ATV, golfcart etc. Most Ebay adds dont specify the bore size, just what they fit, example: sleds, golfcarts etc.

You could call comet clutch 800-999-8161.They are very helpfull.

Can a 25mm taper bore be bored and broached to 1in with 1/4 keyway?

Assuming the 25 mm is at the big end, yes it can be done. However, you would then be trying to key into a dead hole. To EDM it would be expensive, (unless you have a brother-in law that can do it for next to nothing & knows what he's doing). It probably would be cheaper to just get a new clutch.

I dont get it, "Dead Hole" Isnt this the part that needs bored and broached?

The Salsbury can be bored and broached Tapered Comets typically can't because the bore and shaft is stepped and you can't broach a "stepped" or "blind" or "Dead hole".

So if I can Bore and broach it, what else do I need to change to run it on a 4 stroke?
