What is the advantage of the two speed trans for a 6x6 argo? Also what is a good used one worth?

I have a 2 speed in my argo and love it.The low gear comes in handy when your pulling someone out or getting out of a tough situation.I wish they made a t20 with low gear.I would say the value of that trans is $300 to $400 depending on how bad a person needs it.You never see ago trans for sale? Are you buying or selling.sigpic

A few months ago, there was a SwampFox 8x8 for sale on Craigslist in Alaska with a high low range gear box coupled to the T20.

Did older argo 6x6 have two speed?
I have a mid 80 argo 6x6 with the 16hp Techumse. It has a single speed trans geared fairly low. I can just about run faster than the machine. (although not for long 15 - 20 seconds) Did any of them come with a two speed?Whats a little gas to save a few steps!

I just picked up a 83(??) and the cable from the shifter for the High-low is not attched. Do you have a any pics of where it attaches. I must only be in low gear cause I can almost walk faster than it. I also have the 16 techumse do you have any pics of it too. I have a different carb and am getting the proper one but need to see how the cables and links hook up ..... trying to find the manuals but still looking Thanks WestyLast edited by westyodb; 02-22-2010, 02:12 AM.
