I'm looking into using a Generac engine in a custom Attex I want to build from the ground up. The Generac is very similar to a Kohler, Briggs, etc. The engine stock will have 30-40 hp depending on the model I decide on.
It is governed at 3,600 rpms, but I want the top speed of the little Attex to be atleast 50. I'm sure this engine has more than enough power to move that little thing.
1. Are there any racing/performance parts out there for Generac like there is for Briggs? I couldn't find anything
2. What would I need to modify to raise the rpm? I will remove the governor, but I don't want to blow it up.
3. What is the racing clutch that Richard's Relics sells? The brand of the clutch or simply the modification done to it?
I'm thinking removing or adjusting the governor and a different clutch will give me what I need, also depending on the gearing of the drivetrain but that's another story...
