  • What T20 is this?

    Hey folks,
Can anyone tell me any info about this style T20?
I was told that it came out of a mid 70's Chaparral.
Can it be used in a 78 Superchief?
    thanks...

I believe all T-20s will work in any machine originally equipped with a T-20. Whether or not it is in good working order would be the only question.

      Thanks George.
The case appears to be the same. My T20 has the diamond shifter and these are rectangular in shape. There is no ID plate on this one, just a raised T20 in the casting.
The Chaparral supposedly was running when it was parked behind the barn and he lost interest in it.
Only one way to find out....
      thanks...

That's an older transmission and most likely has the main shaft with support bearings on both ends. If it does and it's in good shape, it's a great find. The long-shaft T20s are sturdier than the later models.
