I’m in the process of doing lots of maintenance, repairs, and improvements to my 2000 Max IV.
One of those things is I just bought a new belt, and I was wondering if using belt dressing on my belt would be a good idea as a maintenance effort. I know the stuff is supposed to make belts last longer, slip less, and squeal/chirp less.
I don’t hear anything mentioned about belt dressing on the forum, and I didn’t know if there was a good reason why it isn’t a good idea to use. But, I certainly did not want to use the stuff if there is a good reason not to.
So, what are the pros and cons (if any) to using belt dressing???
