  • Clutch questions.

Im finally getting around to putting a 16hp briggs in my sons Max IV. Getting rid of the Kawasaki TA 440a. The question is, what drive clutch will I need? And can I use the same driven clutch by changing the spring?

There are allot of clutches on ebay and other sources. The best solution is to get one from Richard Clark or RI the manufacturer of your max. Amphiman1 has allot of 2 stroke clutches. He may also have one for your 4 stroke.
Getting the proper matching clutch is critical to the performance of your machine. You may also have to change the spring in the driven converter for the best performance but it may work good enough without changing it.
