Well guys, the Max IV i bought did have some fun surprises inside. It was running gear oil!! Yeah, what FUN! Needless to say I have tore apart the beast and I have some great pictures of tore up planetary drums. I probably will run the Hustler transmission for a little bit in it (just for fun and a little driving around) and I'll be ordering parts. I need te complete seal kit, bands (all 4) and 2 of the 4 drums. I am thinking that I'll get my drums from Maximum off-road $100 for good used(thoughts, experiences welcomed) and the seal kit $55 and then get bands from Richard ($70 a piece). Does this sound like a good plan? It puts the rebuild at about $535 plus the shipping. By the way, Mike and JP did a great job tearing the T-20s apart and showing how to fix it. Also a thanks to Don as my middle plate didn't want to stay on the clutch side and I used the punch technique. Anyway, here is the fun looking pics

Just a thought but you may be better off getting another used T20 somewhere since you have to replace so many parts. You can probably pick one up for under $400. If you do go with new parts I would at least order the bands from the factory. There were some discussions here on differing thicknesses of material depending on where you buy the bands. I hate that you found such destruction.
