  • Baker Hill 5000

Hi, i have a baker hill 5000 series transmission in my attex st/295 and i was wondering how many pucks it takes. Also i have read it is the weakest trans put in these machines and i was wondering if it is strong enough for a 340 twin snowmobile motor. Thanks

me and littleford 68 have a 5000 in his attex and he has a 50horse Polaris 440 snowmobile motor i think it takes four pucks dont quote me on that though

It will take four pucks on each side- eight total. I'd be gentle with the 5000 using it with a 340. I've seen them break under the stress of a 297 single. Good luck with it.

dont jinks me haha, but she rips around with the 440 quite well, i have to take my break puck assembly's apart because they are spreading the disks on one side to far an i am not sure why, might b dirt and yeah it takes 4 pucks on each side about a 1/4" thick, good luck

Dont quote be on this but i believe the pucks are about 1/8 to 3/16 thick i think 1/4 might cause some clearance issues that just what i remember
