  • terra tiger clutch question

    Hi
I traded for a tt18 the main drive shaft was not installed because previous owner had steering clutchs relined he did not reinstall. I installed main drive shaft put chains back on rebuilt carb and starter. Starts and engine clutch engages and turns main drive shaft but no drive is transfered to the drive chains. It looks like only the unlined side of the drive clutchs turn is there an adjustment for the steering clutch to me it seems the clutch is not engaged ,should the clutch be engaged all the time to provide drive to the wheels unless the steering brake is applied to the side you want to turn . any input would be helpful.

    Thanks win231

check out the TT service manual (link to it in this post http://www.6x6world.com/forums/other...r-manuals.html )
your steering clutches should be adjusted so that they are engaged unless you are steering.
