  • partially stripped t20 lower mounting bolts

Put the spare t20 in the hustler, it didnt have the lower mounting studs on the t20 so i was just going to bolt it place. After a test the bolts on one side came out. Looks like the threads are in bad shape. I was thinking of JB weld, rethread & add additional steel framing up to the top two mounting holes on each side. Anyone else had this prob that can offer a fix. My buddy can take it to the fab shop he works at and weld it up so i can redrill and tap if that is possible. I just dont want to ruin a t20 case if at all possible. I am going to look in the gallery to see if anyone has reinforced their t20. Any pics or links will be greatly appreciated!

I havent pulled it back out yet. Will do when i get home today. I did notice that this t20 has a square shaped recessed area next to the bolt area and i think i saw where it broke through to that area. I will take pics of it when i take it out and post here. I borrowed this pic from gallery just to show the area the broke though. It is the same area just on the bottom.

This is how I did mine, its fairly simple and the transmission doesn't move after installation. I've got a big how to thread dealing with an unrelated performance mod that I am working on. So It may be a few days before I can get pics of mine up but this might help get you started.
