Getting the urge to get this thing going again. It has set a good 20 years. Transmission seemed to work good from what I remember. Thinking of going out to the farm pulling the T20 and bring it back to town to tear it down and see what kind of shape this thing is in.

Question I got is whats the current cost to rebuild one of these, worst case... I would think the bands would have to be worn down as much abuse as I gave the thing. I know it leaked oil but think it was from the seal mating the to halves.

The bands and drums are what really start to cost you. There really isn't much else. The seal kit is cheap @ ~$50. The two main bearings are a little pricey because you can only get them through Recreatives Industries (they are custom ground) but they aren't real bad.

As long as it was still working when you parked it the drums are probably not worn or grooved. They may be a little rusty but you should be able to bring them back to life. The bands may also surprise you too. As long as the T20 was sealed and there was some ATF in there and no water they could be fine. You never know until you break it apart. I say you should just split the case and see what it looks like. Take a picture or two and post them in this thread.

Are you talking about the link on the first page of that article? It is working for me

If you are having trouble, look in the manual section of the site: T20 Transmission Manual
