Good morning everyone, I am new to the forum/site. I have a 2002 Max IV. Was having some issues with steering left so I decided to do some maintenence since I'm sure the prior owner did none. I pulled the motor and seats, etc. A trip to the powder coater to spend more money. I pulled the levers out and found they were rusted onto the shaft. Sandblasted shaft/painted and put back together greasing everything. I am now in the process of changing the tranny fluid. I have the right fluid and limited slip additive, but I am not sure if you use 1 quart of atf w/ 4oz. of limited slip, or if it is 1 quart total. I am also trying to adjust the brake levers. I bought the the adjusting tools from Richard's relics and put them behind the bolts to adjust. It says to adjust to 15lbs on each bolt, then back off 1/4 turn to re-align the bolt head in the clip. When I try to torque the bolts to 15lbs. I am bending the c-channel against the tranny case. I am afraid the plungers are going to pull out of the tranny case. I apologize for my ignorance, as I do not know much about the internals on the t20. Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong. Thank you for your help. Truly appreciate it.

T20 Adjustment

1 gt of oil and add the additive...assuming the t-20 is in good shape and no internal problems..
a good rule of thumb is 5/8....push levers allthe way back and measure distance from the channel closest
to the base where plunger comes out...do this for both sides...i have found that with t-20 out of vehicle
you can do a better job with accuracy and then fine tune it...repeat with channels in oppisite direction..
and when filling with oil fill from top plug untill it runs out of bottom plug and your good..of course with t-20
reinstalled..i hope i didnt leave anything out
