      the factory uses type f ford atf and redline brand limited slip additive (do not use gm limited slip additive ive had bad experience with chatter however the mopar stuff is ok)
      they dont call me mad because im angry!!!!! im just a little crazy thats all!!!!

          Larry,
          Jeff and I just put my t20 back together last night form the output shaft brake. My T20 had gear oil in it too when I got it. I got it in the machine this afternoon, and the bands only held up for 5 minutes. My guess is that there was a chemical reaction caused switching back to ATF from gear oil. I would caution you to not drain and refill your transmission on a day you really want to go riding. I should also add that the engineer from RI indicated that the band could break within the first 5-30 minutes, but some never have an issue after putting the proper fluid back in the T20. Good luck with yours.

            Wow, sorry to hear about that. Bad news to hear. Thanks for the caution. Sounds like I better price out some bands and have some here when I switch. Just in case. When you order yours could you pm me the price of new ones? If you remember. If not no big deal, Im just curious.
