  • Transmission Crafter's T-20 Band Resurfacing

I did not see a "resources" directory where we could post names of businesses, etc. that are beneficial to 6x6 restoration, i.e. Richard's Relics, Buffalo Bearings, Transmission Crafter's, etc. Perhaps a directory where we could post experiences with helpful businesses and give leads to others that could benefit from their services would be useful. Anyway, Jay at "Transmission Crafter's" resurfaced my transmission bands for $35.00 each and did a great job. He has the tooling to do 75 bands a day, so needless to say is ready for our business. He is very friendly and interested in our hobby. I've attached a copy of my receipt listing all the contact info or just google their name. The shop is located in Albany, GA. If you are interested in the background info see the thread titled "Alabama Bands". I hope this post saves others the time to dig up the info for resurfacing their bands.

Thanks for the info arp35. I am going to use them in my reband projects (8 bands altogether). I will be contacting them in the near future.

      Thanks arp35.

I have a spare set that need to be resurfaced. I plan on sending them to Transmission Crafters too.

No problem...I am just glad we found a another business that can resurface our bands. I have (and will) purchased lots of items at Richard's Relics and Mike is always very helpful and fortunately they stock lots of parts that no other businesses have, but it is always nice to have options and to be able to save a few dollars when I can.
