Does anyone have have any experiences with the T-20 output shaft mounted brake discs that they wish to share? Thanks.

Joe, what are you wanting to know specifically? Are you wanting to know about their performance? I don't have any experience with them, but perhaps someone else can chime in if we narrow down what you are looking for.

They work better than the brakes on the front axle and will hold the machine on a steep incline. You can adapt the Attex emergency brake into a parking brake too, and the big discs keep it where you park it.
Stuck in the seventies- not in the swamp.

Hi Mike, was just tring to get an overview by someone with any experience. My Attex has a nice frame set up in it with calipers and all the linkages etc. However, the "adaptors" welded to the output shafts are quite washed out where the disc tangs engage them. The disc tangs dont exactly look new either. From what I can see,a decent repair job will be a challange.I don't think replacement is an option at this time.Figured I would allow any really good or bad reviews to somewhat influence my decision as to fix them or not. Also,I would welcome any ideas or suggestions.Thanks.

Hi Don, your a mind reader lol. That's the sort of input I was hoping for. That's also "what I wanted to hear".I've been looking at these quite a bit and I really would like to use them. The issue of no brakes on my Hustler concerns me also and I've been thinking since there's no way in he$$ I'm going to be able to install them down in the frame, that perhaps I should start "getting good" with this type of set-up but wasn't ready to go skipping down a(nother) dead end street. Thanks for the input!

Just remember the ONE downfall, in the unlikely even of a broken transmission chain you loose brakes on that side. It's a real unlikely scenario right at a point you need it, but just bear that in mind. My racer uses the small axle mounted disks, but with Brembo dual piston calipers so it'll STOP. I don't know if you can fit disks next to your sprockets (Obviously small disks ~ the same as the sprocket diameter including chain).
And the calipers are off Ski-Doo sleds, so good used ones can be found for a good price. I'm not saying this is better, just a second idea. Petal, lines and mounts obviously have to be fabbed up.
