  • Trans. Identification

    Hi,
I'm new to the forum and, to be truthfull, I probably won't be here long. I don't own an AATV but I do own several ATV's and other off road toys. Living in Southern California, our terrain just doesn't lend itself to the amphib thing; most of our local water has surf that would not go well with low gunnels. I bought a gearbox on eBay that is just begging to be used in a desert cart. It was listed as being from a small snowmobile but nobody from that fraternity recognizes it. I got a lead from a gentleman on a golf cart forum that it kind of looked like it came out of a six-wheeler.
It's a very straight forward F-N-R gearbox. There are no markings or tags. The bolt pattern at the base is 4x6 inch. The driven pulley is 10" in diameter. and the sprocket is a double row, 18 tooth, #35. The brake disk is 6" in diameter. The push-pull shifter is on the front (or back?) and both fwd and rev are 1:1 ratio. Please see the attached pics.
I really do appreciate all responses.
