has anyone tried useing this clutch ?? would it work ?? anyone know anything about them ??

It would probably work, but you wouldn't have the variable pully ratios during acceleration that you get from the torque converter setup we have now. You would however eleminate having a belt drive, and I think it would be much more reliable. If you put in a hi/lo range gearbox between that and your transmission, I think that it would be more practical.1983 Hustler 945-HK 627cc Vanguard

Looks like a big chainsaw clutch.
This could work well with an industrial variable ratio chain transmission. Not sure what the brand name was but I found it one day when search for tranny options. The only problem with the tranny was that you had to mmanually adjust the ratio with a lever (for industrial applications)Comment

I used those years ago and they would not work very well on a 6x6 because of the weight..
It would have to be geared so low it would have no speed..works good on a
go cart though..Comment

Their good for speed but not good for loaded power...i guess if you
had no governor on your engine and you could maintain enough
rpm it might last alittle while anyways...try one out and let us know..Comment
