  • T-20 in a Argo

Hi everybody, 1st I love my Argo and the trans. works fine for me. And I guess thats why I'm asking this question, because Argo trans. works fine for other too. But just woundering if anyone has tryed to put T-20 in a Argo? I'm not the most mechanical person out there like I see and read things others on this site are doing. Is it even possible to do the conversions on a Argo? I read every post on this site everyday and have gone through all the old threads, I really enjoy all I've read and learned from them. I would enjoy finding out more info on this Thread by the great minds of this site!! Maybe there's others out there that want to know this too. Thanks Rick

Jon Hoath mentioned once that it wouldn't fit behind the existing "firewall".

www.flatnasty.net updated their site, don't see any pics of us, though. They have some events that might be fun to see..since they're in your neighborhood.

I believe Joe M from this site put a T-20 in a Scrambler. I guess where there's a will.... I would imagine it would be a lot of work. It would also be very cool.

If my Argo trans blows I will try it

I was told by many how well this t-20 works but I really do not think the Argo Trans is that bad. I would like to give a MAX a test drive to see what all the talk is about. The Max guys say that the T-20 is true all wheel drive but the Argo seems to be as well ,I do not notice a shift in traction like the Max owners suggest but haven’t driven a Max long enough to tell. I didn’t care for the stick steering nor did I really give it a chance
Why do we waste tax money on bridges and roads when we can all just drive AATVs

"nor did I really give it a chance"

A lot of us get opinionated early on. Group rides and friends with different vehicles shows variety. Besides, we get tired driving the same thing everyday. How can a guy not like a t20, quiet and turns without loading the engine.

That is why you need to have an entire fleet of different AATV's.

                in time

Robio_8x8 , In time you can make your Argo do almost anything. You learn little things to do that will make it work for you. Don't know what kind of riding you do. I've been to many, many rides with groups in all kinds of Parks & terrain. I've got my Bigfoot to go places that Max2&4 couldn't make it. Little luck, timing? Maybe enough experence and getting to know my machines abillaty I'd say.I'll tell ya that you'll be waiting forever, those trans in Argo's keep on going! I guess you have a 8x8 ? I rode with Roger Smith and other 8x8 Argos and they seem to do very well.I've rode a Max a couple of times at rides to see how they are,and I didn't like the sticks and hanging way out there in front of the thing.I'm glad theres some choices.Rick
