Transmission design

I know this is not a 6x6 and I am very aware that this setup would not hold up with any reasonable amount of HP, but would it be possible to make a similar system that was beefed up a bit to work in a 6x6?

The reason I ask is that I"m in the middle of building a 6x6/tracked vehicle, and I am basically done except for the transmission as I can not make up my mind. I was looking for a t20 but I like the idea of a zero turn, so I have been exploring hydraulics and other options when I came across this.

I dont really see too much of a downside, but I am new to this stuff so any input is appreciated.

I think this is a valid concept for an amphib. I just don,t know how durable it would be in the long run though.
