  • Argo belt always turning

    Hey guys,
been rebuilding an old argo for a while now and i do mean while... it needed an engine rebuild, no carb or fuel lines, all the wiring was gone, new bearings and alot of cleaning and now..Im having issues. The belt is always turning even at low idle but if you put it in gear and start it you can drive all day. I've cleaned everything and now go. Then I rebuilt the primary, thought it may not be disengaging, still no luck. Thought it was out of line and did some work there, nothing... running out if ideas and thought i'd ask for suggestions. so you know its an early 80's 8x8 with the 16 tecumseh. thanks.

mine does the same thing with the kohler engine.seems to be the nature of the beast.i have to quickly pull the choke to shift or the gears grind real bad.
