Does anyone know the thickness of the plunger adjustment tools for the T-20. They sell them by the pair. I'm guessing they are .156 or 5/32. Any help would be great.

JP is that for both style of T20 or just the newer style with the U channels?1, If it moves and it ain't suppose to use Duck tape.If it don't move and it's suppose to use WD40.
2, If it got tits or wheels it will cost you lots of money and grief.

Those tools will only work for the newer style of trans. With the old style you have to go by measurements. On the old style, to keep the plungers from slipping inside the case while lever is removed, take a 3/8 fender washer and cut it into a C shape. Slide these in between the case and the little sheet metal nut on the eye bolt. They can be installed before you remove the levers.Originally posted by testrun00 View PostJP is that for both style of T20 or just the newer style with the U channels?A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

jpswift1, What is the thickness of these tools? I cannot make it out. I used 1/4 steel to make the tools is this too much. It must be close because it steers great in forward but reverse I have to pull back a little harder than I care to. Max IV 18hp Briggs T-20. I just had gone through the t-20 with new washers, seals. First time doing this ever.Went well ,had it back in in two days running down the road.
Thanks
