  • transmisiion question for seirra trailboss

I been working on a 1970 seirra trailboss for awhile. Today I put a 360 suzuki snowmobile engine in it and connected it to the gear boxes with chain and sprocket. passenger side has both forward and reverse. driver side just has reverse. I have not tore apart gear box yet.
Is there adjustments or anything special i need to adjust to get forward gear?

Does anyony have pictures of the inside of these gearboxes?

does anyone know what kind of speed this should have with this setup? (I know sprocket sizes will change speeds just looking for a rough idea?

    Thanks Tony

2 strokes go fast. The top speed is probably faster than you will want to drive it. Its not a persice answer, but there are too many factors to give you a rough estimate. There is a formula I read on here somewhere that will give you your top speed, but it has everything to do with top engine rpm, clutch sized, sprocket sizes (gearing), and even tire size.
l like to buy stuff and no I don't do payments!
