new clutch on t-20

i put a new clutch on max II (2002). Does anyone know why the belt seems to have more play in it. Also should i just tighten the the nut that holds it on as tight as i can, or is there a torque setting. whats the purpose of the snap ring that hangs off the shaft that the clutch mounts to. thanks for any help

Is the clutch the same size as the old one. They come in several diameters. As for torque settings, maybe someone that doesnt just torque her down knows cause thats all I do.

It looks a little different. The old 1 has a tag of august of 1999
