Gear lube will eventually take the lining off the brake bands. Only way to check things out is to pull the T-20 and crack it open. Good news is there are really good how to sections here to get you through it. That way you can check everything out and have peace of mind. Things get expensive REAL quick with no lining on the bands.

Micmacs right on the money here. Depending on what adhesive they used in that production run it could delaminate the lining from the bands. The good news is you caught it before scarring your drums hopefully. If the lining looks to be good on the bands you can just clean them in a parts washer and put th back it provided there is no other carnage. If the bands are starting to delaminate send them out to get relined. If the bands are completely wasted check the drum for damage and get your checkbook out.
