can anyone tell me if a 2 and three quarter in shaft on a 18 horse ch 18s. kohler engine is out of a cub cadet can i fit a clutch on this and is it a good engine to put in my older argo my argo is 1977 to 1986 any help would be great shaft is inch and a eigth

I have a Kohler CH23S and a CH20S they both have 1 1/8" dia x 2 3/4" long output shafts. They work well. IDK bout the 23 but the 20 is from a Cub Cadet.

Sounds like your good to go. Yeah, that is about what I pd in USD's for each of the engines,picked up,from private owners.

The clutch off your Oh-160 should be for a 1" shaft and won't fit the 1 1/8" new motor. The 1 1/8" clutches are typically much more money than the 1" clutches......You might want to check into this before buying, especially since you already have the 1" shaft clutch.Comment
