  • shift plunger stuck HELP

I took the clip out of the plunger but i can not get the plunger out.I have taken them out before with no problem but this one is either egg shaped or the rubber oring has hardened up.This is a t20 with the clip type.Anyone have any ideals or trick to get it out.

Spray some WD-40 or something around it and try pulling out with pliers or two pry bars across from each other. If a shift pin broke bad it can push the side out and make them a bear to get out. Hook bars (look like a J) will put more force on the diamond if needed. good luck.

I have tried all of that but no luck. You are probably right about the pin pushing out the side. That would be my luck. Thanks,I will try again tomorrow.I really don't want to pull the transmission.

I cut a diamond off one ,drilled and tapped it to pull with a bolt. damaged the case and the shift collar was broken also. had to tear down any way, go figure. Have found that with the shift collar and output shaft out,the shifter can be pushed through enough to dremel tool the bumps off and get them out. best of luck on this one
