    How do you polish the pistons that is connected to the bands?

    In a lathe. Why does it need to be polished? If the bore it rides in has been scared it needs to be polished or it will eat up the o ring and leak fluid.

      I clean them up with fine emery cloth if they're not too badly damaged. If they're deeply grooved or out of round, it may be best to replace them.
      Stuck in the seventies- not in the swamp.

        I had a set that had some surface rust on them. removed the plunger from the band. cut the head off a long 3/8 bolt and chucked the remaining bolt in a drill, then threaded the plunger on. spin the drill and polish the plunger up with some scotch brite
